A bit of hyperbole, perhaps…
I was told yesterday that I have to move out of my office at work. My private office, with a locking door. Which is very conducive to taking and sharing pictures when a, ehem, distraction is needed or desired during the work day.
I’m being moved to a temporary trailer outside the building, along with 6-8 other people. Our own little cubicle city. Our building dates to the 1960s and is undergoing major renovations. On the bright side, I’ll get my office back in 5-6 weeks and will have a new exterior window. Which is good, because the current window provides excellent ventilation, even when closed. Nothing like a cool breeze from a closed window during a New England winter.
In other bad news, Veronica and I were supposed to go to a party hosted by our favorite swingers group tonight. Unfortunately, Princess Persistent was pretty sick with a stomach bug last night and still isn’t keeping *anything* down. So we’ve notified the hosts and the sitter and will be spending a quiet Saturday night at home.
But it’s not all bad, because a good friend is visiting us.
And it could be worse…
