That’s My Boy!

Posted by hubman38 on July 17, 2009

I don’t write much about my kids, at least directly, but the other evening the whole family was watching Wipeout and Darling Boy said something I just had to share.  One of the female contestents on the show was having a minor wardrobe malfunction and if not for the black box they put over her, you would have been able to see her ass.

He asks “Are they doing that so we can’t see her butt?”

Veronica replies “They’re not allowed to show butts on TV during the family hour”

To which DB retorted “That’s wrong!  I wish they’d show butts!”

From your mouth to God’s ears, my little man!

[Remember, this is the same kid who, when I teased him about hanging around without a shirt on said "What, it's good to be half naked sometimes!"]

If only because I haven’t played in a few weeks…  Click here is you’re interested

Friday Fill-inGraphic courtesy of Tonya!

And…here we go!

1. Hot dogs and Mac and cheese make a quick and easy dinner. [The Hubman Special for the kids when Veronica has to work late...]

2. Wiser in Battle by LTG Ricardo Sanchez is the book I’m reading right now.

3. July brings back memories of no work and no school.  Those were the days!

4. That was obvious.

5. They say if you tell your dreams , I don’t know, what do they say?

6. If only more people would stop to think it over.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to relaxing with the family and a friend who is visiting for the weekend, tomorrow my plans include going to a party and Sunday, I want to get in a 40 mile bike ride (since I’m training for a 100 mile ride in late August)!

Our visiting friend is fairly vanilla, but she’s also a fellow blogger and HNTer, so we’ll see if we write about her.  I can’t wait to pick her up at the airport later this afternoon and give her a big old hug!

Have a good weekend!

You’ve raised him right. Also, Wipeout is endless entertainment, may it never go away. :)

I was going to comment yesterday, but I think fate intervened to delay me so I could share this gem with you:

Last night, SD turns to H and I and asks… “What does masochistic mean?”

H, feigning surprise, tells her “Wow, that’s a big word! I think Topaz can explain it for you!”

Chuckles at me, who is smiling with a ‘good one, but I’ll kill you later’ look.

It wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be. (painful? masochistic? get it? sigh…)

I’ve learned that using the context of vampires (she read the word in Twilight), you can explain ANYTHING sexual to a child!

I don’t know how vampires feel about seeing butts though…
