HNT Contrasts

For most of the last week the weather has been glorious in New England.  So much so that I was working in the yard without a shirt on over the weekend.  Darling Boy, wanting to be just like dad [I'm enjoying it while I can, since he'll inevitably want nothing to do with me someday...], took his shirt off as well.

After a while, we took a break, went inside for a drink, and I put my shirt back on, while DB insisted on leaving his off.  I said to him “Why aren’t you wearing your shirt now that we’re inside?”

What? Sometimes it’s good to be half naked!

I swear to God, I almost spit out my beer.  That’s my boy!

Today seemed like the perfect day to share that little anecdote!

Along with the nice weather, I’ve been getting in a lot of miles on my bicycle.  Almost 90 miles in the last 5 days alone!  With the exception of the short while on Saturday when DB and I were shirtless, riding time is the only time I’m getting any sun.  Which leads to some interesting tanlines.  Right now, only parts of my arms and legs have any color.  The rest of me is still rather pale in comparison.  See?

You ever have one of those weeks where the execution of the concept you have in mind for your HNT doesn’t live up to your expectations?  Yeah, I’m having one of those weeks.  The picture is boring and the contrast between the tan skin and pale skin didn’t come out as well as I hoped.  Even as Veronica was taking them I wasn’t happy with the results.  Oh well, there’s always next week.  Or The Other HNT today;-)
